It is great fun spending time learning new juice recipes to try out. When you start investigating juicing for health you will find out that there are quite a few important points to bear in mind. The number of different models that are available is staggering. Which type of appliance you will pick will depend upon the opinion you form from reading juicer reviews on the internet. There are some important differences between the two main types of juicer, centrifugal and masticating.

On the one hand, we have centrifugal juicers that work at tremendous speeds. It is argued that it is the speed of this type of juicer that is its downfall. Faster speeds are responsible for causing tiny bubbles of air to be forced into the juice that is made. The point about this is that the more contact your juice has with air, the faster oxidation will occur.

But is this going to be an issue for you. The fact of the matter is that as long as we drink our juice soon after making it, this is not necessarily something to worry about. To be perfectly honest though, if you want to make a more nutritious juice then a juicer that works at slower speeds might be a better idea.

Machines like the Omega VRT350HD juicer works at much lower RPM than centrifugal units. Juicers that work at slower speeds run cooler as well. Also, there is going to be less air forced into the juice. Masticating juicers result in a lower rate of oxidation caused directly by the juicer. Whether or not you are too concerned by this is a personal decision.

The bottom line is that what is more important than the type of juicer we use, is to actually make juices regularly. As you now know, technically a masticating juicer might be a better choice but at the end of the day, you can make juices more quickly with centrifugal machines. Improving our diet is all about making good food choices. Making juices can have a really positive impact on our health.
